Unter dem Stichwort \u201eFahrzeugbrand nach Verkehrsunfall \u2013 PKW steht im Kornfeld\u201c wurde die Freiwillige Feuerwehr Hoya, sowie die Polizei um 20:42 Uhr zur Landesstra\u00dfe 330 zwischen Hoya und Hassel alarmiert. Dort brannte ein Opel auf einem R\u00fcbenfeld, zum Gl\u00fcck nicht auf dem direkt angrenzenden Kornfeld. Laut Polizei hatte der Fahrer aus Richtung Hoya kommend zwei weitere PKW \u00fcberholt und \u00fcbersah dabei offensichtlich einen ihm entgegenkommenden SUV aus Richtung Hassel. Um einen Zusammensto\u00df zu vermeiden zog der Opel links am SUV vorbei, verlor dabei wohl die Kontrolle \u00fcber sein Fahrzeug, drehte sich auf der Fahrbahn und fuhr r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts die B\u00f6schung runter und knapp zweihundert Meter durch das Kornfeld, bevor der Opel auf dem R\u00fcbenfeld brennend zum Stehen kam. Unter der Einsatzleitung von Hoyas Ortsbrandmeister und stellvertretendem Gemeindebrandmeister Wilfried G\u00fctz wurde das Auto das komplett ausbrannte unter Atemschutz mit Wasser aus dem Tankl\u00f6schfahrzeug abgel\u00f6scht und ausgiebig abgek\u00fchlt. Der Opel musste mit einem Teleskoplader vom Feld geholt und zu einem Feldweg gebracht werden, damit er von einem Abschleppwagen verladen werden kann. Den Fahrern des SUV und den beiden \u00fcberholten Fahrzeugen passierte nichts.
